15x22 crayon

A rather quick entry but I really wanted to participate. Haven't used crayons since back in elementary school because I used to despise them. But they're actually not all that bad :)

This was originally supposed to be inspired by Amish hex signs, but I forgot that you can not get that kind of color saturation from crayons. I ironed this after the coloring was done to intensify the colors a little. The border was added in photoshop just to define the edges.

Since it's a crayon contest, I thought I'd try drawing a child - crayons bring out the kid in me anyway. I used the back of a piece of letterhead (paper is maybe a little too smooth). I still love the smell of crayons!

Girls everywhere will always get their books carried for them!

Did this to hopefully get a few smiles, and to suppport the illo arena.

Now, can someone tell me the best way to remove crayon from my scanner?

No references were used. This all came from my warped mind. Although I do think the book came out pretty good.

wow it was really really hard i had a lot of color limitations (i got only a small package of 8 crayons with NO WHITE)
