Images taken with long exposures can create some incredible photographs. Take a look at arodrix's very ethereal and magical 'Invisible Waves'.
Normal beginner editing rules apply - You may not create the slow movement effect in your post-processing - it must be taken in camera. This means you will probably need to use a tripod to ensure that your long exposure does not result in camera shake.
