Various materials were used in the making of the collage:- cardboard, for the base;- pieces of magazines;- pieces of newspapers;- letters torn out of a newspaper and rearranged to create the text parts;- colored paper;- gauze, painted in black (for the road);- aluminum foil and pieces of magazines, surrounded by eggshell mosaic (for the trees);- thick black thread (for the arrow and around the road);- thin black thread (around the characters and all around the picture);- white and brown thread (around the trees). The phrase at the top of the page comes from Perrault's version of the tale : "Little Red Riding Hood set out immediately to go to her grandmother, who lived in another village."("Mère-grand" means "grandmother", "le loup" is the wolf and "Le Petit Chaperon rouge" is Little Red Riding Hood.)Link to a larger version .
