I made it with different sort of stich of wool, cotton and silk
Way back during my hippi days, I made dozens of these but seems that it never took me this long. LOL...Crocheted in the granny square style of shells using multi shaded yarn of dark brown, medium brown, camel, sage and forest green. Tie and fringe are camel tan as thats the only shade available to complement it.
Main part is knitted, the red border is crochet.
First entry? :) Purple 'Cloud Lion' needle-felted completely out of wool (pictured bottom right corner).
I love the way lace is created with yarn over. This white poncho is for my granddaughter. You can see a closer view of the lace here.
I designed as well as knit this sweater. I wanted the bottom to be just below the waist, the sleeves to be fitted at the cuff and forearm and the upper half of the sleeve to be slightly puffed. I liked the ripple pattern from many knitted afghans, and decided to use that as the design on the sweater. I picked the color, as gray is a color I look good in.
These were not colors I would normally pick for an afghan. A store was discontinuing a line of yarn, and had most all of it priced at $.59. At that price, I stocked up on almost all their yarn figuring that would give me enough for lots of projects. As I realized how many of the variegated colors went from one to another of the colors I'd picked up, I set them out in a way they'd blend from one to another, and started this afghan.
I'm not so good with knitting needles but the doll did not complain:-))
Knit in acrylic yarn on two needles using a panel of moss and cable stitches. While wearing just one might be a fashion statement or suit a fan of MJ, I am working on the left hand version as well.
