A pair of Bald Eagles battle for a left over salmon on the Chilkat river in Haines, Alaska.
I don't know why,but i like this photo
Mount Rundle as seen from the third Vermilion Lake in Banff National Park, in the near-infrared spectrum. IR photography has been an interest of mine for a while, but it was only before my honeymoon that I finally got an IR-pass filter and could start to experiment with it. This is a false coloring, obviously; after fixing the white balance and exposure in Lightroom, I pulled it into Photoshop, exchanged the red and blue channels, then used color balance and curves layers to adjust to taste. The white colors in the leaves are due to what's known as the Woods Effect. Please comment!Technical data: Olympus E-410, 21mm with Sunpak R72 IR-pass filter, 50sec at f/8 ISO100.
