Here is my initial sketch along with my other references. Painted in Photoshop. I had a lot of fun doing the water:dodge and burn, dodge and burn-I felt like the Karate kid.

Acrylic on board - had a few problems scanning.

Pterodactyle running away with the prize

Painted from an initial sketch, all hand done no filters using wacom tablet and own custom brushes, except maybe a bit of blur.
Took about 4 hours. First time I have done any animal.
