Hope you like it, for me it's was a lot of fun.
Rock beats scissors but wait! Paper comes flying in to cover rock! It's over! It's over!In case you never heard of it, here's how to play Paper-Rock-Scissors: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rock-paper-scissors Play it online if you don't have enough hands! http://playrps.com/ Other view shows the wire holding the paper-guy up.
Oh no! Mr. Peeps gets struck by lightning as Mrs. Peeps looks on in horror! And damn, here comes a pesky photographer to capture the moment.I always wanted to destroy a marshmallow peep, thanks for the excuse. :P
Was it jealousy? Or money? Or revenge?
What a fun theme this was! Between a camera on the fritz, a horrible bout of flu, a dearth of wire, and even some of my 'models' dying on me (mold, ewwww), I almost didn't get an entry together. But perseverance, and a bit of ingenuity, carried the day. Here's a close-up of the slice of bread -- http://www.aviary.com/viewfull?fguid=c5b42308-7a9e-11e0-937b-12313b101135&nowatermark=true -- which will hopefully show the way its little "arms" are folded. I had not been thinking about how tricky reflective things are to photograph when I was attaching the limbs to the slice and getting them folded into just the right position...The three types of bread are, from the left: ¤ A Martin's Potato Roll, sandwich size http://www.potatoroll.com/pages/products.asp ¤ A torn-off hunk of fresh-baked "Italian bread" from one of the many bakeries, restaurants and grocery stores near me that sells similar loaves of crusty-outside, soft-fluffy-inside white-flour bread¤ A slice of "Farmers Bread" as made by a boutique bakery, which I'm fortunate to be able to buy from a chain store they partner with since they're nowhere near me (and as their website is down, this video of the bread being made will have to do) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L2qPZGFkMgE Possibly the best part of using edibles for crafting is getting to eat the project after it's done!
