Phew, what an awesome challenge - good luck everyone playing.

Kronos was the leader of the first generation of Titans, children of Gaia, the earth, and Uranus, the sky. He overthrew his father and castrated him with a sickle. Subsequently he was overthrown by his own sons, led by Zeus, and imprisoned in the pit of Tartarus.

The sources for this one were extremely hard to find, so I ended up painting the chariot, face, mask, hair and whip. The rest is real. sources

Illustrative and painterly entries are welcome in this contest.
Please enjoy Cronos.

Good luck to all!

In Greek mythology, Eos is the Titan goddess of the dawn, who rose from her home at the edge of Oceanus, the ocean that surrounds the world, to herald her brother Helios, the Sun.

Thanks to for the great sources

Mnemosyne female Titaness.
Slept with Zeus for nine consecutive nights and thereby created the nine Muses.
Mnemosyne presided over a pool in Hades, conterpart to the river Lithe.
She is accredited with the power to place things in memory. As such, ancients believed that when one died they had a choice of either drinking from Lithe and erazing memory of past life, or drinking from Mnemosyne, the spring of memory.
Painted using Ps Cs5, Paintover for the some of the face and drinking vessel. Reconstruction of landscape with paintover. The rest painted from sketch.

A mix of photo, old painting and my own painting trying to merge different techniques.
