These 3mm tiny Syrphid flies were discreetly going about their business in my Hosta garden when I stumbled upon them with my 150mm macro lens and invaded their privacy. I took close to 100 shots of them using manual focus while they mated in flight. That's the male on top, flapping away. The female appears to be motionless, just going along for the ride. :)
A single berry in window light. Who knew those little "hairs" had leaves on the end or that raspberries are furry?
ISO 3200, f14, 1/200thmacro seem to be very hard with a little light.
I think this is the most difficult macro shot I've ever taken. he's hovering while eating and I'm less than 2 feet from him. lots of staying motionless for long periods of time to get this.
When in doubt, just submit a flower. It's all I got man....
