If you see a glowing light in your garden at night, keep a safe distance. While this creature primarily eats moths and other insects attracted to its light, it will also eat spiders, frogs, small rodents and is not averse to taking off your fingertip.references
If anybody knows what it is, I'd like to know.
From the darkest oceans I present you The Octofish :)
The Centaurian Snuffler is a small mamthropod (mammal-like arthropod) from the Alpha Centauri system. A nocturnal hunter, the snuffler feeds mainly on gastro fiblers: mollusks which live deep beneath the sand. The snuffler uses it's sensitive whiskers to locate prey, which it digs up using it's long foreclaws. During the hot daylight hours, the snuffler buries itself in sand until only the breathing tubes on it's back are exposed. This offers protection from the world's harsh binary suns, but has a drawback: the exotic colors in the snuffler's coat are the result of algae and fungi which inhabit the wet sand. They infest the snuffler as parasites, although it is possible they may yield some as-yet unknown benefits. All in all, they make for a rather unpleasant olfactory experience, which may explain why snufflers have such a severely stunted sense of smell!Created in Photoshop/Painter. No references used. Based off of a character I created in the Facebook game, 'Petville' (sorry, I don't know how to obtain a URL in order to view the animated character)
