I always love Odeonent's contests and this one was exceptionally fun with all the detail work. This is meticulously hand-painted on a colour layer over basic fill layers. Four days were spent on this, and I did my best to stay true to the film's colours as instructed. My favourite bits are the reflection of skintone in the man on the far right's belt buckle, and the colouring of skin sheen. Please do feel free to fullview. :)
In this first image, I removed the white borders that was present in the original file for better visualization of color work. Also, I removed the registration mark that was in the botton right corner with the same purpose.I would like to say that I have the original b/w file WITH colors (shown in image 2 here) as I also have the image without borders and marks in the PSD file that will be provided to the client if my work is chosen.
This is my first time colorizing anything, but I worked pretty hard on it. It's also my first time utilizing my Adobe CS5, as I've always used GIMP, but using GIMP to do this would've taken me weeks. Constructive criticism is always welcome. Thanks! Also: I keep getting an error message when I try to upload the files. It's a .PSD file, and I've even tried putting into a .zip file. Anyone know what I should do? Thanks again!
Everything on it's own layer, so that if another color is preferred, it is easy to change.
