I am a missionary in Costa Rica. In my second month of living here, there was a terrible flood that devastated the community I live in and washed away many homes. Three days after the flood I was walking in community and saw a local crack addict sound asleep in some one else's bed. It was probably the most comfortable mattress he had slept on in months.

This photo was taken in Cairo, Egypt on Friday 28th of January 2011. The smoke you see in the photo is due to the large amounts of teargas which the police were using on protesters.During the morning and the early afternoon protesters (protesting against president Mubarak) were gathering in the streets. Small groups formed bigger groups and walk in the direction of Tahrir square. At this point protests were peaceful. In the next couple of days and weeks protesters clashed with the police, the army and other protesters. The Egyptian Revolution of 2011 claimed the lives of 840 people and injured 6000.The reactions of the Egyptians at this time where: "Don't worry, today we protest, we will get what we want, and tomorrow everything will be back to normal". Little did they, or anybody, know that Egypt would need to protest more than 3 weeks to get what they want, and in that time the protests would turn into a complete revolution!
