Should have titled this Easier said than done! I combined an idea I saw in etsy with a piece of art I saw on TV. I glued the crayons (bottom row: Crayola logo up, top row: Color names up) to poster board and used a heat gun to melt them, one side at a time. An embossing gun would have probably worked much better as the heat gun had to much air blowing & caused some funky splattering. Here's some WIP-y pics.

My attempt at a crumbled crayon art deco piece. My knives will never recover.

A combo of regular, metallic and glitter crayons on black foam board.
A poster for my grandson Shannon's room......the other two names are his nicknames!
Art, for me, should have some practical use. This Dia de los Muertos inspired dancing skeleton will scare away goblins from my patio until Halloween, or until the rest of its parts fall off (it was whole until I affixed it to the door.) It was made with waxed paper, grated crayon and an iron. Hats off to my worthy opponents for their efforts. My inspiration: http://rookery9.aviary.com.s3.amazonaws.com/9890000/9890381_411a.jpg
I liked just because it was a bit frightening. I hope you enjoy.Mask Making Off http://i.imgur.com/bxKNr.jpg
