"The Notewriter" was supposed to type out sheet music while you played it. The problem was you couldn't hear what you were playing.
They didn't understand why it would make such a soft sound despite all that blowing...
It looks better (not to mention bigger!) at full sized.Only after recovering it's ancient Roman counterpart, the electric lyre, was the modern electric guitar made possible.
This early trombone was made before all the kinks were worked out.
The early prototype of the electric guitar. Please comment.
Play that funky music ancient-homosapien-whiteboy!
An ingenious device with only one flaw: Floppy disks can only store one song!
You may think you know what one looks like, but few people know that THIS was the original French Horn. Unfortunately, the design didn't go over very well at the time. Lazy musicians wanted something they could play while holding in their lap. Hence, the french horn as we know it today was ultimately developed. No worries though. The original design WAS eventually used...for something entirely different...and we all know the rest of that story!(Please view full image for clearer detail)
