It hasn't turned out whimsical in any way whatsoever and I just couldn't find the right font (it's lauren), but the valkyrie turned out ok

This is the second version of the Valkerie, done exclusively in Photoshop

Note to the client: Good luck with your business! I checked this design with a friend, a long-time SCA member. She liked it, so I hope you will too. She suggested including "Patterns" in your tag line because not everyone carries patterns and they're sometimes hard to come by.
I've placed the stars randomly, but can change them to a known constellation if you have one in mind.
The font is Menuetto (stretched a little).
