Floating to the ground
Brown leaves whisper to the wind
Bared branches shiver

Summer shows in stains
Watermelon juice on shirts
Knees smeared green from grass

Summer's fury turns
to splendid autumn breeze and
sea of colored leaves

Weeping for the loss
        of summer passing by him
            another leaf falls

wintering up north
I learn new words to swear with
the worst one is snow

Golden leaves flutter,
Slowly, slowly, trailing down
Nature's own blanket.

Frosty wind blowing
Icy air pierces the soul
My love keeps me warm.

Riot of color
White lace frost on the green lawn
Fall in New Hampshire

I smile seeing snow
upon the ground; my spouse frowns,
grabbing a shovel

Fall in Seattle
I’m drenched in light, but alas,
it’s liquid sunshine
