1. The Manicured Mermaid

This is my personal favorite. I like names that stand out, make you curious and give an air of importance or identity. You could create an atmosphere of whimsy with a life-sized mermaid sculpture who becomes the mascot of your salon. People could take vacation pictures with the mermaid, kids could throw pennies into a wishing pool she sits in, you could dress her up for the holidays, etc. You could even hold a promotional contest to name the mermaid (and build your clientel). The possibilities are endless.

2. Polished to Perfection
3. Polished Perfection
4. A Perfect Polish
5. Perfectly Polished

2-5 were the first things that came to mind, drawing on quality (perfection) and the staple of nail salons - polish. #4 starts with an "A" which would put you up the list in the phone book or yellow pages, but substituting "The" would imply you stand out from other nail salons.

6. The Perfect Ten

A play on words - ten fingers (or ten toes). Could also start with "A" for better alphabetical order.

7. PRO-filers

As I was thinking of the tools and mainstays of manicurists, I got stuck on the nail file. If you're looking for a catchy, humorous type name, Profilers may fit the bill - you're PROs at what you do, part of which is filing.

8. Ready, Set, Shine!

Maybe a little cliche, but catchy and open to many logo possibilities. Plus it's very upbeat.

9. Fantasy Fingers

Grand Cayman is a fantasy vacation location, thus Fantasy Fingers. Lends itself to many ethereal logo possibilities - faeries, sea creatures, stars, angels, etc.

10. Finger Fabulous

Generic, but descriptive. After a trip to your salon, your client will have fabulous fingers!

11. The Tropical Set

Another play on words - "set" as in set of nails, and "tropical" because of the location. Lends itself to themes of seashells, palm trees and sandy beaches.

13. Tailored Tips
14. At Your Finger Tips
15. Tip-top Nails

13-15 all play on the term "tips". I do not know of any salons with these names, but it would not surprise me if they exist. "Tailored" and "Tip-top" imply high quality and a sophisticated, less whimsical attitude. "At Your Finger Tips" is less sophisticated, but catchier and more memorable.

16. Brushed Wonders

If you have an airbrush specialty you want to promote, this might be a good name. Gives vibes of mastery, skill and artistry.

17. Awesome Acrylics

This name would probably appeal to a younger crowd, and it is high in the alphabet.

The Grand Cayman, part of the Cayman Islands is an overseas territory of the United Kingdom. It is also a major tourist destination.

People are fascinated about royalty. Any thing "royal" is automatically more impressive and interesting.

The Royal Treatment triggers thoughts of supreme pampering, that you are the most important person in the world. It brings to mind images of everyone being anxious and ready to make you happy and comfortable.

After all, "It's good to be the King! "

The Royal Treatment also implies much more than just a Nail Salon. It fits the idea of a nail salon and the people taking care of you, but also will work if and when the nail salon offers more ammenities.

It also a very easy name to remember which helps people return to the store as well increases word of mouth advertising.

Furthermore, The Royal Treatment will lend itself to easy advertising and sound bytes.
"Be queen for the day with The Royal Treatment"
"You deserve the Royal Treatment"
"Give your love one The Royal Treatment"
and similar ideas will look good on ad copy.

Thank you

"Palms Down"

Palms down is typically the position in which the hands are placed when being cared for. The salon being in the Caymans, 'palm' trees tie into the name and localize it to a certain extent. 'Down' would indicate a sort of relaxed mood as in 'wind down' or 'calm down' and the play on words between hands down (as in the phrase, 'Hands down, the best...') and palms down would reinforce the association between quality, a relaxed atmosphere, and a beautiful setting.
Good luck with the new salon!

AT YOUR FINGERTIPS

The name is a direct reference to nails (the things you find at the end of your finger tips), and it connotes an image of speed and convenience that any competitive service business needs to convey to both the busy local and to the weary traveler.

Travelers to the islands may indeed make up the greatest proportion of this firm's clientele, and the name would be easy to remember to any passer-through who sees an advertisement in a travel brochure or other appropriate marketing literature.

Right@yourfingertips.xx would be a catchy main email that would not just be hard to forget: it would burn the brand image permanently into the consumer's memory.

AT YOUR FINGERTIPS is the perfect title for a modern nail salon of the digital age.

"Nai'legance"- This is probably the best one I came up with. Think of the word elegance. Now think of it in French! Haha, how cool does that sound?! :-p I just switched the "E" with Nai. It produces the same sort of sound.

"Elegant Shine"- Pretty self explanatory

"Tropical Nail Paradise"- Well, if it's in the Grand Cayman islands, then it sure as heck is a tropical paradise! Now throw in the nails and you have some very happy people!!

"Glamour and Nails"- Meant to rhyme with Hammer and Nails.

"Head, Shoulders, Nails, and Toes!"- For hair, tanning, and nails of course!

Other really random ones:
Super Nails
Nails r' Us
Uber-nails
Ashlee Simpson Nail Salon
Super cool Nail Bonanza!!

(Lol, I had to have some fun entries at the end!)

Logic behind this is that 70% of the GDP is from Cayman's vast tourism population. (reported as 1997) The main market is for luxury clients. If I'm in a place as a tourist, I want to be pampered by their culture. Making it point blank and extremely obvious, "here" you're getting part of the Cayman experience.
