This was about a six hour exposure to photograph the star trails. Set up the camera (Kiev 60, Kodak portra film) about 10 p.m. Left it and returned about 4 a.m. The house and windmill were painted with a flashlight at the end of the exposure.
Highlighting the exact famous passage (of Romeo & Juliet) was the hardest thing - I kept on "spilling" light on the other sentences ...Thanks for viewing full.
Please take a moment to view full, the compression really got to this one.
Painted with a flashlight, 30 sec exposure @F/13
Took a long time to get this just perfect... very hard to paint with light on glass without getting nasty reflections. Please view full, it's not at all huge but much sharper.
Used a reflector to direct sunlight onto the spoonbill preening itself in a heavily shaded area. Spot metered on the bird.
The light was just perfect and brought the warmest colour to the inside of this building. The composition of three was just right.
