grandma and grandpa
I put a fair amount of effort into the clothes -- I separated the pattern on the women's dress from the underlying white, so that the pattern is purple and the background is "off white". I thought that this looked somewhat better than giving her dress a uniform cast of some color. I also added some gray to the hair of both, and I think I fixed the color of the whites of their eyes, although as old people, I might expect their eyes to not be that bright a white.I was torn about including a shadow behind them -- it wasn't in the original, but then neither was my wood paneling! My real thought is that a professional photographer would use more than one light, and probably eliminate the shadow. Of course, this is the way that the original looks. Nonetheless, adding a shadow seems to a popular "look" at Worth 1000, so I included one in my revised image.I'd be interested to hear the thoughts of others!-Edited by user at 11/14/2002 7:10:03 PM-Edited by user at 11/14/2002 8:57:59 PM-Edited by user at 11/15/2002 8:37:43 PM
