CONTEST DESCRIPTION

The client is a small real estate company, located in Columbia, Maryland and helps people buy and sell homes in the Baltimore-Washington DC metropolitan region. The logo will be used to identify the company and set the client's company apart from other realtors. The logo will be used for its website, ads, t-shirts, other promotional items, business cards, letterhead and on the sides of their moving truck. The company website is http://SeeMarylandHomes.com

CLIENT NOTE

I would like to send you my current logo for people to see. It's a crab that I drew freehand and LandsEnd cleaned up to put on our shirts. Our ads are different - me flying in space as an astronaut holding a sign that says "Judi sells houses anywhere" or me wearing the Hope Diamond and "Looking for a Gem of a Realtor?" are two that we've used. We are a fun team and enjoy giving parties for our clients. We are looking for a logo that conveys that sense of fun and yet remains professional. I was thinking of just using my same crab dressed in different outfits for different seasons, but that just doesn't seem right. If people want to use a variation on the crab, that's fine. If they want to use a house or something having to do with Maryland, like black-eyed susans, that's fine too. One of the recent logos that caught my eye was the alpaca farm logo that had a sunset behind the alpaca and looked sort of like a stained glass window or a fruit box logo!

CLIENT RULES

  • The logo should include the words “SeeMarylandHomes.com" or "Judi Stull & Associates" (Associates may be spelled as just "Assoc."). Do not include both SeeMarylandHomes.com and Judi Stull & Associates in the logo, just one or the other. SeeMarylandHomes.com is easier to read with Caps On The First Letter Of Each Word, but that's not required. Make sure Judi is spelled correctly if you use Judi Stull & Associates.

  • The client's current logo is fun and thematic to Maryland (it's a crab). They would like this one to be professional looking, but possibly also to show their sense of humor.

  • The logo should symbolize that the client enjoys what they do, both professionally and by having fun.

  • The client prefers no more than three colors but as long as it can be sewn onto shirts without an exorbitant cost, they are not that picky about it. RE/MAX's logo is red, white and blue and their current crab is orange. They would prefer that it not clash with RE/MAX's logo, but don't have a preference other than that. They like bold colors rather than pastels.

  • No gradients or overlapping/mixed colors.

  • Any item or symbol may be integrated if it's creative.

  • Do not include the RE/MAX balloon.

  • Any font is okay.
  • Please upload your font to your corporate files area.

GENERAL RULES

[li]Please upload your vector file (.ai or .eps) or high resolution photoshop files with all layers and elements intact (.psd), to the corporate files attachment area at the time you submit an entry (you will be prompted after uploading your image). Adobe Photoshop files are preferred.

  • Please do not enter slight variations of your logo as separate entries. Enter them as a single entry.

  • Please leave some white space at the bottom of your entry so the worth1000 watermark doesn't overlap it.

  • Any questions about what is desired by the client may be sent to corporate@worth1000.com.

  • The client will be granted the full rights to all aspects of the submission of their choice as a work-for-hire in exchange for the prize mentioned above.
