This is a park image from Nova Scotia taken through a wrought iron fence (offers a nice frame & focal point for the statue). Added the statue and rose bushed behind the fence, added in areas for the overlapping shrubs & trees, shadows and finally blue sky with birds. Comments welcome!

going for surealistic style - the lightning effect was a challenge. Found the lightning bolt on Mayangs texture library

The overexposed crown gave me the most hassle - trying to rebuild the light and shade. In the end I went for a low depth-of-field to render it out of focus along with other elements.

Everything except the original bronze is built using Mayang's free textures.

My favourite bit was building the little pins holding the plaque in place.

I extended the front of the garden and added subtle changes to the origional, creating a slightly different mood
