CONTEST DESCRIPTION

In this free contest, your task is to create a t-shirt design for Nacel Open Door.

CLIENT DESCRIPTION

Nacel Open Door, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to international student exchange for high school students. Nacel Open Door believes it is essential for young people to develop a deeper awareness of their role as citizens of the world through direct experience in other cultures and languages. Homestays with volunteer American host families are the foundation of most Nacel Open Door programs. We work in 50 different countries including Korea, Germany, France, Brazil, Pakistan, Indonesia and many Muslim countries and former Russian states.

The client is a 500 person organization centered in St Paul Minnesota. The t-shirts will be worn by both teenagers and parents to help recruit more American host families.

PRIZES

  • The top entry the client chooses will receive $200*.

  • The top voting winner will get 100 credits.

CLIENT RULES

  • You are required to design both full-size front artwork and full-size back artwork for the t-shirt.

  • The t-shirt must have a maximum of 4 spot colours.
  • The t-shirt must not contain gradients and overlaps.

  • It is optional, but the Nacel Open Door logo may appear on your shirt: [img="http://nacelopendoor.org/text/images/misc/logo_01.gif"]

  • Any font is acceptable, so long as it's easily readable.

  • Some feelings and thoughts that the customer would like the t-shirts to evoke are: fun, multicultural, world, hip, cool, teenagers, family friendships, Christians, Muslims.

  • The t-shirt should be "cool", and appealing to parents who like teenagers.

  • The front or back or both must include the words "Ask me about hosting an exchange student".

  • Though Nacel Open Door is a sectarian organization, many host families are strong Christians and see hosting as "mission work". The graphics should not make viewers think of wild or irresponsible teenagers.

  • Please upload your font to your corporate files area.

GENERAL RULES

  • Please note the special requirements for file formats:
  • Adobe Illustrator vector images are STRONGLY preferred.[li]PNG images are acceptable, but enter a .jpg and upload the PNG to your corp files area (Worth doesn't display png files)[li]JPG format final files are discouraged.

[li]Please upload your files to the corporate files attachment area at the time you submit an entry (you will be prompted after uploading your image).

  • Please do not enter slight variations of your logo as separate entries. Enter them as a single entry.

  • Please leave some white space at the bottom of your entry so the worth1000 watermark doesn't overlap it.

  • Any questions about what is desired by the client may be sent to corporate@worth1000.com.

  • The client will be granted the full rights to all aspects of the submission of their choice as a work-for-hire in exchange for the prize mentioned above.[/ul]
