whilst this may look like a sunset, it's actually light pollution from a nearby town. the sun had set a good few hours before this 30sec exposure was made. the white dots in the sky? they're stars!
I got very lucky with this one.
150-second exposure a little over an hour after sunset. Packed with swimmers during the day, the standing ripples in the stream and a setting planet now provide the only sign of activity. The water texture is much nicer in full view (76k) if you have time.
Cropped and resized to 1068x692.EFL 35 mm; 18.5 seconds at f3.5
I entered a similar pic in an earlier contest, but this is a different photo from the same shoot. I tweaked the levels to make the background vanish, removed color. This waterfall is lit by a single floodlight.
15", F3.2, Adusted Levels with Photoshop.
Thirty-second exposure straight at the moon through tens of thousands of tiny, leafless branches. (Haven't forgotten the rule of thirds. The shot begged and I caved.) Please full view to see detail.
