In this contest, you're going to share with us your favorite recipe for a dish that's truly inedible. Think in terms of 'weird stuff that's not really food'. This will be the Text version of the 'Fire The Chef' Photoshop contests. Ingredients need not be actually edible.
Use a typical recipe format: list your ingredients (with quantities of each required), then in a paragraph or two, explain how to combine and prepare them to create a wonderously inedible dish:
Batty-Nut Char Appetizer
2 cups peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)
1/3 cup glass shards, ground to taste (for texture)
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 cup whole cream
8 bat feet
1 fire extinguisher
In a medium mixing bowl, blend the peanut butter, sugar, and glass shards. Stir in cream, mix until thoroughly runny. Add bat feet, stir well for full coverage. Marinate 4-6 hours. Place bat feet in a 9x9 greased pan (a few squirts of WD-40 works best), and pour remaining peanut butter mixture over them. Bake at 2000° in a potter's kiln for 3 minutes. Remove and extinguish flames. Scrape off what's left with a trowel or chisel, and savour this crunchy, throat-shredding treat.
Serve with: a shot-glass of malt vinegar.
