Serif and Sans Serif Variations.
the logo illustrates 2 people obtaining information in dialogue.font: Trebuchet MS (modified)
a simple logo with a neighbourhood feel.
the mark is a closer look at a neighborhood, with an attempted nod to Mondrian and Tufte. the type, i chose to keep it all lowercase, it looks and read better, and I chose a sans seriff rounded font to balance the sharp edges of the graphic, and give it a freindly easy-to-use feel. thanks for reading
hope you like it :)
Font is hand-crafted, based on "Memoir"The logo in the second version represents a push-pin (stylized to encompass the "V") marking the location of the best deals/offers to be found in the neighborhood. The text colors & connected lettering are designed to lead the reader into what I assume is the intended pronunciation: "vicinity", without resorting to irregular kerning. (It took me a number of readngs before I made that connection)
V C N I T I
Simple and clean... clear. Reshaped the i's and t's to form the profile of a house (or a shop/supermarket). Shown here in various color combinations and an alternate more complicated version which would look good in flash animation.
