CONTEST DESCRIPTION

In this free contest, your task is to design a logo for Smoke Free Union, a new grassroots coalition whose members have a common goal of reducing secondhand smoke in Union County. Our main purpose is to raise awareness about the dangers of secondhand smoke and to empower the community to advocate for smoke-free places where youth and families go and teach folks how to protect their families from secondhand smoke. This includes pregnant women, children birth to age 5, school age youth, and all families.

The client is a small, new organization located in Union County, North Carolina. The logo will appear on all print ads, posters, brochures, church bulletin inserts, payroll stuffers, billboards etc. etc. as well as on Smoke Free Union's website.

PRIZES

• The top entry that the client chooses will receive $125*.
  


• The top voting winner will get 100 credits.

CLIENT RULES

• Logos must contain the words "Smoke Free Union". This is not cAsE SeNsItIvE. It should also include the tag line "living, playing, working smoke free." Please also include web address in the logo. The address is: www.smokefreeunion.com.
  


• Use bigger and bolder font sizes for Smoke Free Union and a smaller font size for the web address. The tagline after the bold name is "living, working, playing smoke free".
  


• The logo can contain up to 3 colors. Would also like a black and white version so that it can be used on pieces where only one color is an option. Blues and greens may be best..soothing colors...
  


• Entries may not contain gradients.
  


• The logo style must be simple, but eye-catching.
  

The logo should represent clean / fresh air...healthy image...breathing clean air.

• No symbols of tobacco products can be used in the logo.
  


• You may not display presentations of the logo directly in the image file. You may link to them separately from your author comments. If you violate this rule, you ristk disqualification.
  


• we do not have a specific font in mind - something that fits the fresh air tone and appeals to families/youth may be used. Please upload your font to your corporate files area.

GENERAL RULES

• Please upload your vector file (.ai or .eps) or high resolution photoshop files with all layers and elements intact (.psd), to the corporate files attachment area at the time you submit an entry (you will be prompted after uploading your image).
  


• Please do not enter slight variations of your logo as separate entries. Enter them as a single entry.
  


• Please leave some white space at the bottom of your entry so the worth1000 watermark doesn't overlap it.

• The client will be granted the full rights to all aspects of the submission of their choice as a work-for-hire in exchange for the prize mentioned above.
