Incorporated the stylized arc within the A, maintained a minimalist yet academic feel, which works well within the Rutgers University image.

The arc represents the steps to a higher education by the base of the arc representing the beginning where your education is more broad and open. Finally it comes to a point, or a better understanding where your knowledge is specified and you education is complete.

Shown here in serif and sans serif versions; flat and perspective arc versions, utilizing the original colors of the center. Also presented in 100% magenta.

The top and bottom banner logos reflect the client's present web logo and are designed to easily integrate with little modification to the current web site layout.
The central four logos are variations of the main device (an arc implied by the left hand side of a freehand "A" and negative space under the magenta graphic element) which could be incorporated into a completely new web site layout if required.
I favored the "ARC-U" abbreviation over "ARC" to differentiate it from the many other organizations and companies which either use the acronym "ARC", or whose name starts with "Arc".
