My son and I had a great time creating this shot. We initially tried using rubbing alcohol on the fishing lures to ignite them but it would burn off too quickly. We ended dipping them in lighter fluid which worked almost too well - the lure would quickly be engulfed in flames. Catching the flames an attractive form was also a challenge. Of the several hundred images I shot, I have only a handful that I liked. I didn't even notice until later that the flames were fish shaped.
Sure it looks good now, but will it be as pretty in the morning?
