First entry. Critiques welcome.

These shoes are new, used once when my daughter danced her last dance. When she was done, she put them heel to heel and wrapped the ribbons round to keep them flat. Cardboard, glue and satin, so fragile, wonderous and enduring is the dance. I spent hours trying to shoot these and it was when I was done and went to put them away that the composition hit me for The Last Dance. I can almost see her defying gravity. Hope you enjoy.

Sometimes getting ready is more work, than the show.
