Koshchei is the Russian mythological guardian of treasure.It is a really suck job because he cannot leave the booty, he is stuck there. If koshchei gets hungry he can't run to McDonald's, he has to wait till someone comes to steal the treasure then he kills them and eats them.
Luckily for Koshcei there are a lot of stupid greedy people in Russian mythology.

Rusalka in Slavic mythology lake-dwelling soul of a child who died unbaptized or of a virgin who was drowned (whether accidentally or purposely). Slavs of different areas have assigned different personalities to the rusalki. Rusalki are beautiful, charming girls, dressed always in light robes of mist.
And yes, in those dark ages people just loved to drown.

RUSALKA
According to Slavic folklore,a Rusalka is a water spirit or water nymph. they are the souls of young women or girls who died a violent or unnatural death. if a girl was murdered in or close to a lake, she would become a Rusalka and inhabit that lake. Rusalkas appear as beautiful women who try to lure men into the water, where they will drown them. With their shrill laughter they are capable of killing humans. A Rusalka's fate can be undone by avenging her death. Whenever people would bathe in the lake they would put fern in their hair so that the rusalka would not drown them.

In Russian Mythology the word Zmey is used for dragon. Gorynych was a large, green, 3-headed Dragon. He was slain by a Knight named Dobrynya Nikitich.

The young boy Ivan found a frog. The frog changed into a beautiful girl. But a dragon kidnap the girl. Ivan decided to rescue the girl by battling the dragon.

I made all bacground in illustrator, and the girl in illustrator and photoshop.

Baba Yaga is a famous mythological Russian witch. She had skinny and bony legs.. and rode around on a mortar and pestle. Her house had chicken legs and really didn't have any windows or doors.. instead the door had teeth. The only way to enter the house was underneath via a rope ladder. The chicken house was surrounded by a gate made of the bones of Baba Yaga's victims. Hope you like it! :-)
