I actually drew this as a fund raising piece that was auctioned at the Rimington Award ceremony (an award for the top center in college foorball). The proceeds for the sale of the drawing went to the Boomer Esiason Foundation and the Nebraska Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
The hand models were a former NFL football player and my bosses daughter.
This is graphite on paper and I spent some consideration and time with the lighting as well as the placement and movement of the blacks and whites so I assume that it is okay to enter into this contest.

“Antique Medicine Bottle” I believe that when glass is lit properly, it can produce beautiful shadows within itself. In my opinion, glass is one of the hardest subjects to paint realistically due to light and shadows. There are just so many light reflections and shadows, that making it still appear transparent becomes difficult. I think I did pretty well on this one though. I’ve painted illustrations of glass a few times before but never with a yellow light source like this. I was curious of how it would turn out.

I only wish I could've shot it better. It looks more realistic on the canvas.

This was painted in 10% acrylic and 90% oils. The acrylic was the yellow that I covered the canvas with. I then sprayed it with clear spray paint and laid down the oils over top. If anyone wishes the details on how I painted this, just message me. I would be happy to send you the details. I’m open to all comments on this piece.

In the year 1025 AD Sir George smoted the evil dragon Rodtor. No longer will Rodtor enjoy burniating the countryside and peasents.
Made with Photoshop CS.

View full to remove that annoying black strip at the top.

This was done with a black sharpie and oil paints. I tried to capture a night fog. I think I did get some depth with this, using light and shadow. I tossed in the glowing eyes to draw the viewer into the center of the illustration where they can then work their way out.
