To achieve an "important" look without a lot of clutter I limited the gratuitious (non-symbolic) decoration on the full gradient version to an intricate, unique pattern at the edge of the seal. (Close-up detail).

Main graphic elements consists of the arbor vitae ("tree of life"), the left side being the sagittal cut of the vermal cerebellum/brain, meant to represent anatomy and physiology... while the right side being the chemical representation of compounds/virus/molecules (actually also may represent the bio-identical hormones that the main company produces), meant to signify pharmakinetics/physiology/pathologies, etc... The traditional book to literally represent the dictionary, with the tree sprouting from it to signify knowledge/wisdom/enlightenment. All arranged in a university seal manner. Presented are color variations. No gradients to maintain simplicity and authoritativeness.

The logo si pretty straightforward as I believe the message should be. You have clear symbols as the book and a leaf, symbolising life, health, etc. As a little accent I've changed the color of a part of the leaf, like a part from a different leaf. This is what Bio Identical Therapy is about - taking molecules from a different organism and implanting them in a human to heal or improve his condition.

The compression messes up the the smaller variations, you know what to do ;)
