Inspired by Vermeer's work, most notably The Kitchen maid, 1658 and A Maid Asleep, c. 1656-57.

Doing some detailed research I discovered not all the Old Masters did just still life or portraiture, but they also wandered outside to create beautiful works of art once in a while. I've tried to represent some of the essence of their outdoor work.
