CONTEST DESCRIPTION

In this free contest, your task is to design a logo for Peak Software Consulting's new software product the gpsTrainer.

The client is a small company located in Fort Collins, Colorado. The design will be used for the gpsTrainer software package (web site, letter head, decals, banners, business cards, etc..).

CLIENT DESCRIPTION

gpsTrainer is a software product running on Windows Mobile Pocket PC's using GPS (global positioning satellites) as a training tool for endurance athletes (runners, xcountry skiers and cyclists). gpsTrainer uses gps to track athletes as they train and provide instant feedback on their pace. Athletes can upload their data to a web site, compare races, download other athlete’s races and race against them either as is or by adjusting their pace to match a goal pace. This feedback allows athletes to target trouble areas to ensure success. The main concept is that athletes are getting immediate feedback on how far ahead or behind they are from their target pace.

PRIZES

• The top entry that the client chooses will receive $100*.
  


• The top voting winner will get 100 credits.

CLIENT RULES

• Logos must contain the words "gpsTrainer.com". This is cAsE SeNsItIvE.
  


• The logo can contain up to 6 colors.
  


• Entries may contain gradients.
  


• The logo style must be athletic and sporty.
  


• Your logo should represent striving for your best and reaching for your "peak".
  


• You may not display presentations of the logo (i.e. business cards, letterhead examples) directly in the image file that you upload as your entry. You may upload these to your media folder and link to them separately from your author comments. If you violate this rule, you risk disqualification.
  


• Sanserif fonts are preferred. Please upload your font to your corporate files area.
  


• The client would like both vector (.ai or .eps) and high resolution photoshop files (.psd) to be uploaded.
  


• Before entering this contest you must read this thread.

GENERAL RULES

• Please upload your vector file (.ai or .eps) or high resolution photoshop files with all layers and elements intact (.psd), to the corporate files attachment area at the time you submit an entry (you will be prompted after uploading your image).
  


• Please do not enter slight variations of your logo as separate entries. Enter them as a single entry.
  


• Please leave some white space at the bottom of your entry so the worth1000 watermark doesn't overlap it.
  


• Any questions about what is desired by the client may be sent to corporate@worth1000.com.
  


• The client will be granted the full rights to all aspects of the submission of their choice as a work-for-hire in exchange for the prize mentioned above.
