Watercolor on 140#, 14" x 20", Cold Pressed Watercolor paper.
One of my very rare attempts at watercolor.
This painting is oil paint on canvas. The canvas size is 20x24". I had to place the painting on the ground, with a good natural sun light from the window, and take a picture of it with my Olympus D-510 digital camera. It took me about 3 months to complete this painting. Please judge the painting in full size picture.
I'm half expecting a purple-haired anime character to go running by any second. Very Anime feel to this one...
I could spend all day there.
Inspiration- from Natural History Magazine. I ran out of time and had to crop off the unfinished top. This is my first time drawing rocks or water.Oh yeah- The white vertical lines down the Left side of the image (full view) are grooves in the paper that did not pick up the graphite. I didn't see them until it was too late:-(
Just for fun :)
A desert scene with an oasis like cliff holding one remaining tree.
Visiting Napa Valley was one of the best parts of going to San Francisco
