NY Daily News runs an awesome Photoshop Contest!
The NY Daily News is running a great contest today to poke fun of the recent Air Force One flyover of NYC (background story) that scared lots of people and cost at least $60,000. They are trying to make a point about how easy and inexpensive it would have been to just have Photoshopped ($1,000) or used Aviary's image editor (free) to put Air Force One into scenes.
We fully agree and think it's a great idea to make a point about unnecessary spending. Since Worth1000 is all about image editing and contests, we'd like to encourage all Worth1000 artists to participate and upload entries to the NY Daily News site to represent Worth1000 as the top image manipulators on the planet! The Daily News even used Aviary's new API to let you launch the Aviary image editor directly from their article!

Worth1000 company launches a new paper-based image editor!
The company behind Worth1000 (Aviary) is proud to announce that it has launched its newest product, Crane, the web's first paper-based image editor.
Crane is Aviary's first venture into the newly discovered concept of non-web based applications. The system will work from anywhere and, amazingly, does not require an internet connection.
How Crane works
We've taken on the arduous task of back engineering familiar tools from image editors such as Phoenix and Photoshop, and creating tangible versions of these functions in Crane.
We've remarkably been successful in recreating most the tools in Crane as you are familiar with in your favorite digital drawing software.

Uploading is fixed
There is currently a problem with uploading anything to the site.
One of the Worth servers is having a minor conniption, but highly trained technical staff are beating it with sticks and kicking it at this very moment.
It should be back shortly.
If need be, contests will be adjusted appropriately, but that decision has not been made yet.
We'll keep you informed.
EDIT:
It should be working now. Try uploading.
If you are still having problems, please post here or contact an admin via PM or in chat.
EDIT:
This is a 2 month old post. Current problem isn't resolved yet.
EDIT:
Resolved.
