Awesome light, MrN! Great two-item shot.

And Craig, that night photography is superb! Great job.

Northman, I really like the cathederal feeling to the bridge shot, there almost appears to be an altar at the far end. I probably would have been tempted to crop it so those bows on the upper edges were eliminated, they seem to be counter to the feel of the rest of the photo.

Craig, I like the Mousetrap shot! It's rich in color and story.

Mr_N, great lighting. I like how the flags are pointing toward the Eye.

Wow that's awesome MrNelson (but tomorrow can we try taking it from about 50 feet further forward :D)

Liked the Londoneye as well, but I could not work what the building was, assuming you were not standing in the middle of the Thames shouldn't it be Whitehall in the background?

Speaking of Whitehall, I loved Crigr's night shots as well, particly the red from the moustrap sign. Even so, I was itching to convert them to B&W!

MrNelson said 3 years ago 2/14/2009 6:16:24 PM EDT

That building (From yesterday) is the shell building, whitehall was behind me.

From today I have the building closer, I didn't post that because it didn't have the awesome birdies! :-)

Got it now, telephoto lens from the embankment. That wheel is big!

I meant using the same focal length, zooming in with your feet (splish, splash, splosh) :P

This is not one of the blood stained ones, it was from a roll that had been left to dry in the darkroom ;-)

Mr Nelson, does that mean you've finally made it over to my regular haunt, Kew Gardens? That's the view from in front of the Palm House :-)

Oh I love those lines MrN! Was that set up, or a chance shot?

MrNelson said 3 years ago 2/15/2009 4:23:23 PM EDT

Chance. It was an installation in the Tate modern, and he happened to be passing through at the same time I was.

Should have kept that in your shoebox MrN. It wont be long before we get another "B&W in colour" contest!

Yeah, but meh! I'm kind of at the stage now where one nice comment in this thread is reward enough. :)

That was a very nice picture MrNelson, well done.

By the way, SigloV is your mentor, you should be listening to him and heeding his advice :P

85mm f1.4. I don't really do portraits but with a lens like this I could easily change my mind!

What a neat shot. You'll have to save that for a contest sometime.

That is a superb shot! I love the composition, the natural colors and especially the green eyes! Well done.

Is it a self portrait?

You might want to consider cropping the bottom part a bit to get rid of the black button that's slightly distracting.

Awesome!

I personally like the black button, it's like a full stop (A period for the Yanks) at the end of the picture.

Nice shots. I wish we had readily accessible eagles. *Sigh*
