would be fun to see it again though

This gets a little long, but the theme has some options... And it's timely ;-)
(Wouldn't it be cool to see related contests across the arenas?)

Theme: "The End of the World AS WE KNOW IT" /or/ "The Beginning Is Near"

One year from now the world will be going crazy in anticipation of what might happen on December 21st. With many ancient cultures all predicting "something is gonna happen!," the eclipse of the galaxy's center, and the media's constant need to sensationalize whatever they can, a lot of people are gonna be pretty freaked out wondering what their future will look like. The craziness over the Millenium bug might look pretty mild by comparison.

Contest idea #1: Imagine it's the day before, December 20th, 2012 (or 20-12-2012). What do you see people doing in anticipation of the unknown?

Contest idea #2: on 20-12-2012, where do you want to be and what do you want to be doing?

Contest idea #3: Imagine you've been selected to help design what you'd like the world to be like for the beginning of the next 5,000 years. What would life in the "new world" look like?

I've been wondering about this myself for a while and would LOVE any ideas, feedback, illustrations - anything you'd like to send me.

Thanks for consideration!

We need a MsgtBob contest. All about Bob and nothing but Bob. Well at least you must use an image of Bob. Bob, "God of Thunder" Bob, "The plumber from the 1800's", Bobanimae, Bob thisis and Bob thatis...I challenge you to stop the endless possibilities,,, If this has been suggested before, (as I'm sure it has) forgive me but not forget the idea. Bobaroni, Bobaloo, Bobble, Bobbishes...er

that actually sounds even better as a writing contest

How about a contest with animals dressed up as Santa as in Santamals. I can't believe it hasn't been done (at least according to my feeble search attempts).

Time is a great teacher, but unfortunately it kills all its pupils

or better yet, animals dressed up as the principal or secondary icons of whatever holiday it might be coming upon (eg, easter (easter bunny), thanksgiving (turkey, Indian, settler), christmas (santa, elf, reindeer), president's day (self explanatory)) that would make the theme more versatile, instead of limiting it to something that could be done only once a year.

Hoppurr said 5 months ago 12/20/2011 4:40:52 PM EDT

another idea would be 'animal swap'
take a picture of people going about their work day and swap the person with whatever animal in the contestant's opinion best suits the job
(e:g: a beaver handyman, a cockatoo news reporter, or a fox for a play director to name a couple, or a leopard as a mayor)
*bonus points to anyone who knows figures from where I got the pairings*

A contest like a 'FreakShow'.
Sometimes we have some image, but the themepost isn't compatible with the image

"I'll take the next one"
You wait and then it finally comes. The elevator, subway, bus or even the lone taxi in the still night. But then there's that. That clear reason why there ain't no way you're hopping in. And all you can think to say is "Um. That's okay. I'll take the next one."

"Sport teams"
Take your favourite club and show your love or passion to it through an image.
You can use emblems, flags, jerseys or even show how your team is beating the biggest rival. I think that would be a massive contest because everybody loves sport.
No national teams would be allowed nor any individual sports.

we should have a contest for making bling(might sound lame to some people but not to me.LOL):)
rules would be...
-make a bling(has to look cool)
-give it a purpose
-cant make a already existing bling
-AND award it to urself(Im kidding!!just ran out of rules thats all..LOL)

how about some promotion on w1k's logo.

sort of like this. a priceless image (as in the creditcard priceless images we find on the net) but worths logo has got to be in the image in some way. or on a t-shirt, outdoor, car stiker etc.

i say this because i know how worth's images end up on the net and normally ppl get rid of the logo. so it would be an interesting way to promote woth on the net

How about a Cutaway contest?

We have to cut and reveal a cross section of what is in side a object.

Global CouncilArena AdminHarry122 said 4 months ago 1/29/2012 9:26:37 PM EDT

It's been said many times before, but I'm gonna repeat, just in case anyone is wondering why some of these great ideas aren't being set up as contests:

The chances of having your good idea turned into an actual contest, is to have a great themepost to go along with it. That themepost picture can either be one from a different W1K contest (that fits your new theme), or your own original work, submitted to an FX admin.

Otherwise, no matter how good your idea might be, there's only a very slim chance that it will see the light of day.

Thanks.
