Wow, Harry, he's beautiful. Nicely done!
Such great bird shots to give the new year a flying start. Here's my attempt at some HDR, plus a symbolic interpretation of the scene...
(pity it was such a gloomy day)
wow..what awesome photos everyone.. Well, mine are a bit on the noisy side as my lens was not so crazy about the night time pics in subzero temps, but I am so proud to have had the olympic torch come to our town ..and I literally froze my toes taking pics of the festivities so I have to show a few pics.the first one is from a woman from our town who not only ran with the torch but lit the flame at our town. Her name is Nadine Ogonowski and she had a kidney transplant in the 90s and since then has been a model of courage and by biting into every bit of life she can. She's won many medals as a transplant athlete and the whole town was so proud of her.All photos taken last night 31/12/2009
A little project which has kept me busy for the last day or so putting together - 10 years of my life in photos...
The flickr page has the photos annotated, and I've linked a larger version here.
I have some Polaroid 4x5 film given to me a few years back and decided today to get it out and use some. I have really enjoyed using it and wish it was still made. I have heard that another company is starting it back up again for production. (The Impossible Project)
Went to the annual Polar Bear plunge yesterday at Lake Michigan in Milwaukee, WI. These aren't particularly artistic, but I laughed til my face hurt.http://rookery5.aviary.com/storagev12/2792000/2792010_c82c.jpg http://rookery5.aviary.com/storagev12/2792000/2792006_3c3e.jpg http://rookery5.aviary.com/storagev12/2792000/2792000_1097.jpg
From tmalone above:
Looks like fun, especially when it's only in the teens and the water temperature is in the 30's!
Just popped this bread into the oven. It looked so good I had to share it. (Decided instead of a loaf to make big rolls.)
Not a pity at all. It just enhances the mood of the image.
Quick!!!!! Someone take a picture of some butter!Terrific shot Norm. :)
I found the face! :P
Some great photos in here. Craig, that looks like a LOT of work. Very nicely done with some great life details. And Eury, I just LOVE those Olympic shots, especially the bright colours and particularly in the first one. Very well done.I see the face in yours too, Ava! ;-)
View from my window at twighlight tonight
I love twilight. Nice view, and I like that that one window has light. Makes you wonder what goes on in there. A friend of mine found two abandoned kittens in her roof-gutter (don't ask me how..). This one survived.
Adorable! But it looks like it needs to see a vet. Has it been?
Some cold looking snowy pictures being taken, makes me glad I live down south. Here is what my kids spent the day doing yesterday, apparently going down the slide in the nick makes you go a lot faster...
I finally had a chance to get out and take some photos today.
I don't think so. This was about the first time she opened her eyes, so she still looks a bit wrinkeled. Just like I do in the morning..
What kind of bird is that and what a lovely landscape to live in.
you guys make me jealous! It is still ice cold over here!pretty colors Clive, I love the twilight, and Patrick, what a poor little thing. Do you have a photo of how the cat looks right now?
Great colours in your photo too Marian - love the warm buildings and railings against that cold winter sky.Took my new 17-40L down to the sea this evening - the quite ocean and the pastal sky made for some calm images...
