Very nice.Did you should all the indoor pictures with just your external flash? No studio lights used?
+ in reply to...
Egon, I used on camera flash and natural light in the smaller rooms and I set up my two studio lights for the Christmas shot in the main room and the one on the stairs.
Ok, thanks. It looks like it was a lot of fun.
This is an x-ray back lit with a well placed candle.
Thats Cool!! With Halloween coming up you could do some neat stuff with pics like that. ;)
Well, I didn't take these today, I took them 2 days ago, but I edited them and put them in a collage toady. I made a Boston Cream Pie for my family and my literature class (actually I made 2). I call it - "The Purplefrog Approach" :P TAKE THAT PURPLEFROG!!!! (bwahahahaha)
Looks delicious. Very nice lighting and balancing the squares.
Nice! I like the sequence of events, and the end result looks yummy! And I'm going to take it as a compliment that it's dedicated to me :D
Great shots. From start to finish.
Thanks, it was a complement, because you are the main food photographer!!! :D
New haircut and color. Also it's time I did a new selfportrait after slimming down, because I feel damned good about myself :)Warm thanks to LadyMin for tying me up in the forest, and shoeing off strangers while we worked on this idea.Click for embiggening.
Nice kebab skewer! :D
It was a pleasure to tie you up. :DGod, I love the post on this. Can I have a poster, please?
Did you shoo away the strangers with the sword? That's kind of a curious object to bring on a picnic?
The lighting is awesome, was it just natural light or a little bit digital?
Well, considering the diet, it isn't, right? And no. I shooed the strangers away with the bow and arrows, which we brought but chose not to include in the picture after all. :)
Ain't it? :)Meer and I did notice it looked like lit by artificial lights - but it is not. The strong lighting on meer's body is the sun. We had a silver reflector to the right. The rest is just meer's mad post-processing skillz.
I'm speechless on the make-over and the fabulous postprocessing. It looks like a superfun shoot as well. Great concept.Oh and I need inside info on the slimming methods :D
Well, stuff has happened, and I've been gone a while, but I picked up the camera for the first time in months today. Gonna take me a while to pick things back up, but here's a quick one.
Hurrah you are back, this looks like a great day to pick up your camera!
Welcome back :-)It's good to see you.
Good to see you back JD
Taken three years ago, but selected and redone post today. It's so strange that the pictures I'd pick out then are not the ones I'd pick out now. This is a great example, showing a strange and almost unflattering snarl, distant. But it probably captures her in the best way, at least an honest picture of one of her facets.I'm playing with color work here as you might have guessed. If anyone knows good tips for extending patterned backgrounds I'd love to hear them!
I love the bleak look, colourwise. It matches the one on her face. Very artsy portrait, completely different league than the glossy-pretty ones. Love it.
