This was about 8 P.m. The eclipse started later at 1:30 am. long after the zoom of my camera was eclipsed by its cover. So sorry, no picture this time
My sister in the snow, experimenting with a new lens:
Kudos to her for wearing that lace shirt in 20-degree weather! I'm an awful sister when I think about it, really. :)
Oooh, very specky, and I love the low viewpoint!ChibiZ, love that snow resting on the branches. Too pretty!
Love the vignetting and the look of the tree against the wispy grey sky. Great shot.
Four blocks on our street do luminaria every Christmas Eve. This was a very snowy December (including six inches this AM)!
Happy Holidays to all!
Gorgeous lighting, Marian!Today we went down to the river, and there were some wagtails getting very upset with a kookaburra who was obviously intruding on their territory. He remained cool, calm and collected while they divebombed and terrorised him. He changed branches a few times, and they just followed, chirping and yelling at him all the time.
You can't feel too sorry for the Kookaburra though. Since they are carnivorous, if he had a chance, he would probably eat those small birds or their babies. Which is maybe why they were upset by his presence!
Well its been a blast, but after 365 days of photos I'm shattered! And just as I'm finishing off what started as last January's 30 day challenge, another one starts! :-)Thank you to everyone who took the time to comment! This was my final image...
Quite a lot of change from February 9th isn't there?!
Lovely photos - both of them. It was a good idea to include both.
i found a thing about camera tossing. the images look pretty cool so i thought i would try it myself although without actually letting the camera leave my hands *gasp*.http://www.flickr.com/photos/quakkauq/sets/72057594135724534/
I did it by taking a picture of this
using full screen mode on my monitor and having the room pitch black. you can use any organic shape really, you're only limited by your imagination.

Those are cool :)Going to have to give it a try myself!
Wow! What an achievement! I am sorry I got so carried away with my own life that I didn't follow your year very much, but I am glad you dropped in to say you were done! And what a way to have such a close documentary about the first year of William's life!Way to go, and congratulations! And that was such good practise for the next 30-day challenge. You will be an old pro at it now!
