I have sad news. :(1) Corporate Contests are closingEffective immediately, Worth1000 will no longer be accepting new paid corporate contests. Corporate contests have been a source of revenue for Worth1000 for a long time, but over the last year or so just haven't been happening organically enough to justify the cost of running the section. We've actually been losing money on it for more than a year and can't afford to keep doing so.While I could spend additional time and energy to market it better, I don't have the time, bandwidth or resources to do so at the moment.Sadly, it's time to just close that section down. We're going to let the existing contests run their course, make sure all artists are paid up and all clients have their logos and then keep the section running for occasional fun or non-profit contests only. It's been a good run folks. Thanks to all the artists who made that section amazing and the staff who helped run things.2) Stafftech and Corporate (Amira) will both be moving on from their roles at the end of January.Separately from what's been going on Stafftech has actually taken a new local job near her home (she telecommuted to us before) and we wish her the best of luck in her new position - it is a big step up in her career. Iz will be filling in for Stafftech on emergency repairs until a replacement can be found. As Amira's role was primarily to oversee the corporate contest section, we will not be replacing her position with this change. Amira worked for us for 6 years doing a wonderful job helping manage the corporate section and general community and we will miss her dearly. Beginning January 31st, the Contact Us forms will go to myself and appropriate admins. Between now and then Amira will continue to help resolve any current issues. Please join me in thanking them both for a job well done! Worth will not be the same without them.(And it goes without saying but please do be respectful of their privacy)
Wow on #2. A hearty and very fond farewell to both of you talented young ladies. You will be much missed, and at the risk of being misunderstood as making any reference to your feet, you both leave gigantic shoes to be filled.Thank you so much for everything you guys did for all of us, up-front and behind-the-scenes.
Thank you so much Staffy and Amira. Best of luck in your future endeavors!
Holy smokes! This definitely marks the end of an era here on Worth.Staffy and Corpy you will be missed so much, you've both been such wonderful people to work with. Thanks for all you have done for us truly, and I wish you both well in your new endeavors. Love you girls!!!! <3
Good luck Staffy and Corp with the new direction life is taking, all the best to you both!
Who's going to scare us every time they pop into chat now? Staffy, you better come say hi every now and again.Good luck with your new endeavours. Of course the came goes to Amira, minus the scaring us in chat, you rarely (if ever) came to tell us stuff will be broken :)
Wow what an end to great run - I always tried to market the corporate sections to people I've worked for as a win-win-win situation and had no idea it was losing money. Sad to see it go, it was a great opportunity from companies and artists alike. As for Stafftech and Corporate, really sad to see them go, they've been such wonderful help so many time in my years here and have been great people to boot. It's a real loss :(
oh no: /I was very sad to end it, but good luck to Amira in this new challenge in your life, and to Staffy too. How will stay the prizes not paid yet?The Corporate arena can back again?=/
I don't know what to say. Literally. Except that I'll miss them both. :(
Sorry to hear it. Best of luck to you both in the adventures that lay ahead.
Best wishes to you both and good luck with your future endeavors. Thank you for all you have done.
Thanks to both of you for all your help! I hope you'll both stay around, even as you move to new, exciting things. :)
:(Best wishes Staffy and Corp

Wow.. that's big news. It was nice contacting amira and being part of the paid contest community. Hope the section comes back in the future.
