meh, it's a good idea but lowballers will be lowballers, regardless of how long they have to look at a contest before they can voteunfortunately there has to be some emphasis on spread to prevent 'karma humping', buton the other hand i've seen the opposite happen where person has a really low deviation from the overall average but not enough 'spread' to get karmaunfortunately there isn't a magic bullet answer to the problem of unfair votersperhaps a means of temporarily revoking the voting privileges of someone with a consistently poor voting history? (though i suppose a zero karma effectively does that)or perhaps instead of karma being solely calculated based on the voter's average for the entire contest vs the average of everyone else in the whole contest, perhaps it should be based on how your votes for individual images deviate from the average for that image and if you have too many with too much deviation then you either don't gain or lose this would also have the side effect of reducing or eliminating the possibility of karma humping since you cant just 'play the averages' since your deviation from the average of each entry would be factored in, not just your overall deviation
