Author's Note: I have a friend who was blinded years ago as an adult, but is still very athletic. For example, she competes in rowing, both with a partner and alone. When she's alone, she has someone in another boat telling her which way to go. An amazing woman.
She told me a joke about a blind person going skydiving that ends: "How do you know when to bend your knees in preparation for landing?" Her answer is "That's easy. You wait for the leash to become slack!" An image of what it would be like in freefall stuck in my head, and came out in the illustration.

My second entry to the Worth site, and I dedicate it to Aerial Gilbert and Guide Dogs for the Blind.
