Author's Note: This image is a depiction of an actual childhood experience that took place in my Aunt M's attic. The next morning it appeared that I'd torn the sheets in my sleep; the lightbulb in the bedside lamp became a skull. A severed dog's head with worms issuing from the neck is another childhood nightmare inspired by a fox terrier we had at the time: Tippy. I couldn't find a dead ringer for her--so I substituted a bull terrier.
