Author's Note:

Death is usually a quiet, somber affair – personal, and private. Trees are the exception. In life they are a tranquil, peaceful green, but as the tree sleeps each winter and the leaves die off, they do so in exuberance. Rather than hide from death, they seem to embrace it, to celebrate it. With a splash of color, they announce their demise with a symphony.
