Author's Note:

this is an old shot - I asked my model to turn in the harsh early afternoon sunlight until half of his face was nearly completely obscured and only a small spot of sunlight [reflection from a picture frame] was behind him to show where his neck ended on the right side. I have wondered whether I should crop it out, because it does distract from the main focus of the image - but I liked how it how it hinted at the outline of the head. Opinions?
Taken on Kodak Gold Ultra, which was probably too fast for this shot :( I've switched to Velvia since.
I'd take this shot differently now, but still like it and need your crits to learn more. Thanks!
