Author's Note: This 3-D tessellation is a goldfish pattern that repeats 6 times around the perimeter of the globe. It's created in "super sculpey", a clay-like plasticine that holds fine detail and stays workable far better than true clay. The ball is painted in acrylics (which lost some of the detail-- next time, I'll try using clays with built-in color). The ball is photographed next to a pencil for scale.
