Author's Note: I thought I'd use a photo with a serious expression, being a dramatic style of portraiture and all. Original - no real makeup and my hair was going a bit limp up top... not a very flattering shot, I must say. I really love that shirt, though.
This proved more of a challenge than I originally had thought it would be. I used two grayscale layers in Soft Light mode on top of the original, full-color layer, erased the hair from one of the soft light layers. Hand dodged/burned various areas on each layer until I got it just *so*. This was a lot of fun, and a good learning experience.
