Author's Note: Thanks to all who participated in BoTS 4, I had a blast, and learned a ton. I think it safe to say that with the nature of this contest, viewing full will reveal delicious detail for all 4 strips.
The intricate workings of Rube Goldberg's fail-proof cat trap:
- Cat plays with mouse, jumping up and down one board.
- Board pumps billows, sending puffs of air into the skateboard sail.
- Skateboard and attached knife cut through cord, dropping cinder-block.
- Cinder-block lands in fish tank, spilling water over the sides.
- Water runs down ramp and turns water wheel.
- Water wheel causes gears to spin, and turns pole.
- Pole knocks over dominoes, setting off a chain reaction.
- Dominoes knock over candle, and candle burns through string.
- Large weight with spikes on it drops to crush cat below.
- Cat is pinned, killed, and tenderized all in one quick step.
